Fruit muesli slice
Ingredients
Dry mix
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats or muesli cereal mix
- 1 cup washed raisins (wash to separate them) or chopped dates
- 1 cup of unsalted nuts* of your choice
- ½ cup of plain flour
Wet mix
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- ½ tablespoons margarine or olive oil
- 1 egg or 2 egg whites
- ½ cup milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 180˚C
- Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl
- In a separate microwave safe bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey and margarine and microwave for 30 seconds
- Add the egg and milk to the wet mix and combine
- Pour the wet mix into the dry ingredients and stir through
- Line a slice tray with baking paper
- Bake in a moderate 180˚C oven for 15 minutes
- Allow to cool and slice into small bite size pieces.
