Ingredients

Dry mix

  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats or muesli cereal mix
  • 1 cup washed raisins (wash to separate them) or chopped dates
  • 1 cup of unsalted nuts* of your choice
  • ½ cup of plain flour

Wet mix

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ½ tablespoons margarine or olive oil
  • 1 egg or 2 egg whites
  • ½ cup milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C
  2. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl
  3. In a separate microwave safe bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey and margarine and microwave for 30 seconds
  4. Add the egg and milk to the wet mix and combine
  5. Pour the wet mix into the dry ingredients and stir through
  6. Line a slice tray with baking paper
  7. Bake in a moderate 180˚C oven for 15 minutes
  8. Allow to cool and slice into small bite size pieces.
